May day mug rug swap.
This is only the second mug rug that I have made and was for my partner in the may day mug rug swap. I used some of my fabric samples to create the patches and added an image of a vintage bulb advert. I did this entirely by hand as my machine sewing isn't good enough to sew all of these pieces together in straight lines.
I quilted the mug rug by adding running stitch around each patch. I even managed to keep the back quite neat too.
The mug rug has arrived at its new home in Florida, and my swap partner loves it.

love the patched look and that one with the blanket stitch around it sets the whole thing off so beautifully.
