Blue flower brooch

This brooch started with the corner of a vintage table mat. I'd cut it from the mat to use on another project, but in the end I didn't use it for that. The blue floral fabric I used to attach the vintage linen to and make the miniature  Suffolk puffs from was in my stash. To complementthe simple blue embroidery on the linen I added lots of running stitch in creamy coton broder and edged the front with blue running stitch.  I attached the kilt brooch pin to some cream linen that was then attached to the brooch front with buttonhole lace.

This brooch is now available from the  Seagrass Gallery in Hoylake,  Wirral.
