Paper, Scissors, Stone

As I mentioned in my last post, there's a new art and craft gallery in Wallasey called  Paper, Scissors, Stone. It's owned by Brenda Sharpe, a maker herself, and as well as selling lots of lovely things from local crafters (like myself) there's also going to be lots of classes for people to learn new crafts.

Paper, Scissors, Stone, was officially opened by the Mayor of Wirral last Saturday (30th June), though it has been open for a few weeks.

Photo: Well and truely open!

This picture is of Brenda and the Mayor

I popped back to the shop today to take some photographs so I could take some pictures of the lovely things available and share them with you.

If you want to visit the shop it's at 73 Seaview Road, Liscard, Wallasey, CH45 4QW. You can also visit the Paper, Scissors, Stone websiteor wander over to their Facebook page to keep up to date with what's happening at the gallery and about craft classes.

Please remember, when you buy something from Paper, Scissors, Stone, Elsie May and Bertha, or any other small business, you are helping that person to pay their bills and keep their head above water. We may not always be the cheapest, but what you'll buy will be handmade, in small quantities, often reusing or repurposing objects and more often than not, environmentally friendly.

I hope you've enjoyed the photographs.

  1. How lucky you are to have a handmade gallery so close at hand- it looks like its full of inspiration- and I like your idea of buying from your local businesses!

  2. That looks like a wonderful gallery - nice photos. Of course I was taken with the little "Time for Tea" mini quilt. Thanks for visiting me at Tea and Talk.
