The blue and white patchwork pillow
This pillow started with the embroidered blue and white piece in the top right-hand corner that I'd bought as part of a craft pack. The way it had been cut determined where it had to go to be able to keep the scalloped edges visible and then I went through my fabric stash to find pieces for the rest of the pillow.
All of the seams have been decorated with embroidery (the patches were also hand-stitched together) and each of the fabric patches has been decorated with buttons, lace, guipure flowers, a felt flower and a whitework piece cut from a damaged vintage tablecloth.
I backed the pillow with blue and white gingham and it's filled with hypo-allergenic stuffing (the cushion has a fixed cover).
I'm taking this pillow to the Seagrass Gallery today, but you can find similar cushions/pillows in my Etsy and Folksy shops or I can make a bespoke one on request.
I'llbe back again on Saturday.
