An embellished pouch
This pouch is made from linen and silk, with a floral cotton lining. I've decorated the pouch with embroidery, gimp, lace, broderie anglais, vintage buttons and wooden sequins.
The first photo shows the piece on the damp-stretching board, with most of it's embellishment done, so you can see it before it was folded into the pouch shape.
In the last two images you can see a beautiful vintage pouch that has just been pinned onto the pouch. Both the pouch and the brooch were a gift.
If you'd like me to make something similar for you, it would make a lovely Christmas present, please contact me at elsiemayandbertha@virginmedia.com for more information.
I'll be back on Sunday.

Happy New Year and Miss Marple Scarves
These two scarves were made for Christmas presents for my Mum and sister. I used Skiff's Miss Marple Vintage Scarf pattern, available for free on Ravelry and I used Stylecraft 4ply acrylic yarn. It's a fairly simple pattern and didn't take me too long to knit both scarves.
I made a matching brooch for each scarf using wool fabric that I embroidered with web stitches and french knots and a scattering of beads. Both scarves were appreciated.
There's a few more Christmas makes to share with you, but I've already started on my 2016 makes, which I'll also share with you soon.
