Progress on the blue and white piece
I've only been working on this since Sunday, so a lot has changed from what you could see in my last blog post. I filled in the remaining edge with some white cotton and stitched the remaining edges that were just pinned on. I've also filled in in the last empty spaces with fabric or lace. I've added some beads and lots of stitch. I only need to add a few more details and it'll be finished.
I'll be back on Thursday.

A couple of birthday cards with flowers and stitch
As well as stitching on Christmas cards, I've been doing the same for birthday cards. These are the first two that I've added to my Etsy store.
The first one is of a vintage botanical illustration that I've added lots of french knots to. The second one is a vintage Japanese illustration that has a mixture of backstitch and french knots added to it.
I'm keeping the backgrounds on these cards quite simple so that they don't clash with the stitched illustrations.
I hope everyone is having a good weekend, it's become quite chilly here in Wallasey. I'll be back on Tuesday.
