Treasure box

In my last post I said that I had been working with some vintage crepe de chine. I have had it for about 10 years and it was part of birthday present I received from my Mum and Dad.

It consisted a vintage chocolate box that has a lovely padded fabric lid - it's a shame they don't make chocolate boxes like these anymore - and contained a mixture of antique/vintage lace, silk crepe de shine, embroidered silk and a waist band/belt (photos 5 and 6).


















I've been using the box's contents sparingly, but below there are a couple of things I've made from the treasures.





Do you have any treasures you only like to use sparingly?

    I purchase fabric modern and vintage and then cannot bring myself to cut it!

    I have many pieces of beautiful vintage Laura Ashley fabric. Every time I bring it out to use I end up putting it back in my stash. Just like KC'sCourt I cannot bear to use it. Just too precious !
