It's been so hot this past week that I haven't been able to spend much time in my workroom as it's at the top of the house, and hot air rises. But this means I have been able to spend a bit of time adding the many photos I've printed on other people's embroidery, techniques and a bit of my own work into my embroidery journal.
A lot of the photos are of Karen Ruane's work, which I find really inspirational and can look at again and again. Some of the photos are from Pinterest but there are some from flickr including from Colour in Stitch, Epochtextiles, CherieKim and Christine Barnes (let me know if I've missed you out).
You can see all of these on the internet, but the amount of work on there can be mind-boggling (not that it takes much to boggle my mind!), so these are some of my favourites. You can linger over them. Go backwards or forwards. Spot details you've not seen before.
Do you like to linger over paper copies or are you entirely electronic when it comes to looking for inspiration?
