Take time to smell the flowers
This is something else that went to the Seagrass Gallery last week. It's a vintage linen mat that has been embroidered and then attached to an antique plate.
I've used a mixture of stitches for the embroidery, including stem stitch, lazy daisy and my favourite french knots. I've also used some wooden sequins and three flower buttons.
The embroidery has been backed with linen and that is what is attached to the plate (the embroidery could be detached from its backing if need be).
I'll be back again on Friday when I'll be taking part in this year's Where Bloggers Create blog hop.
